Welcome Families!

We are pleased that you have chosen Safari Learning Academy as your learning and care center. We feel privileged you have chosen us to care for your child!

Make Sure children are here at least by 8:15 a.m. daily. Class starts at 8:35. We appreciate families here on time to help lessen interruptions and for the benefit of the child to have time to bond and play before class. 

Adults and children: Because we deem it important to keep a very clean floor inside, all shoes must be washed at our washing station in the lobby prior before entering the facility – (And parents, no high or cowboy boots are allowed on our rubber playground surface!). For children: No flip-flops or open-toed shoes will be allowed anytime, inside or outside.

ITEMS TO PURCHASE: We ask that you provide a shoe box-sized (6qt.) plastic bin with a lit (for preschoolers) or a sweater sized (12qt.)bin (toddlers) for your child including:

  • A complete change of clothes: pants/shorts, shirt, socks, underwear
  • For infants and Toddlers: please send in diapers, wipes, diapers, wipes, diaper rash cream, as well as a complete change of clothes 
  • If your child is napping with us, please include a crib sheet. For infants, two if possible. If your child requires a special blanket or stuffed animal that is okay to bring, however please make sure these things are small and can easily fit in their folded bed. If a child does not need a special item to rest with please do not send. We prefer to limit as much back and forth of items as possible. 

In an effort to help you keep track of your belongings, please label everything! Please also do not send in anytime that cannot be marked with Sharpie. In order to keep children’s belongings organized we will write their named on things coming in. 

Anything that is not labeled or claimed will be out in the “Lost and Found” box outside the lobby. If things are not picked up in the “Lost and found” within a week, they will be donated to a local Thrift shop. 

If clothes become soiled or wet, we will put them in a plastic Blue bag in the lobby and place the child’s name on the white borad. 

Make sure you pick up your Zoo-phonics materials and Parent Handbook if it was not given to you upon registration.
